Nicole Wu, Executive Director of ProVeg China, Joined CIFST’s NeoProtein Professional Committee

On 30 October, during the second meeting of the NeoProtein Professional Committee of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST), Nicole Wu, Executive Director of ProVeg China, was elected as a member of the Committee.

Four new members were elected during the meeting, further strengthening the Committee’s expertise. The NeoProtein Professional Committee brings together leading experts from industry associations, research institutes, companies, and universities. It aims to advance research in the NeoProtein field, foster collaboration between academia and industry, and support knowledge exchange across the sector.

From an interdisciplinary perspective, the Committee explores pathways for developing NeoProtein resources from plant-, microbial-, and other emerging protein sources. It also examines trends in future food technologies, contributing to broader efforts to promote a diversified and resilient food supply system in China.

ProVeg values its collaboration with CIFST and the NeoProtein Professional Committee and looks forward to continued cooperation. Moving ahead, ProVeg will continue supporting academic exchange and industry collaboration in the NeoProtein field while advancing plant-based and sustainable diets.
