Founding President of ProVeg International

Sebastian Joy is Founding President of ProVeg International, an initiator of the global collective-impact organisation 50by40 and co-creator of the ProVeg Incubator, the world’s first incubation and acceleration program focused exclusively on animal-free startups. He co-created VeggieWorld, the world’s largest vegan trade show, and co-founded the AVA-Summit. He is Vice-Chair of the European Vegetarian Union and partner of V-Label International. Sebastian has taught Non-profit Management and Social Entrepreneurship at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and started the impact incubation program Kickstarting for Good. Sebastian’s work is guided by effective altruism, which aims to use resources efficiently to do as much good as possible. He currently resides in Berlin with his wife Dr. Melanie Joy.
