Our Work
ProVeg India works to support the growth of affordable and accessible plant-based foods in India through partnerships, pilot projects, and institutional engagement.
Our work focuses on three key areas:
Livelihoods and Entrepreneurship
Collaborating with research institutions, food technology innovators, farmer producer organisations, and local enterprises to develop viable plant-based foods and explore rural entrepreneurship opportunities.
Public Food Systems and Market Development
Working with schools, hospitals, government programmes, producers, manufacturers, and institutional buyers to improve access to affordable plant-based foods and strengthen plant-based supply chains.
Events and Engagement
Organising and participating in workshops, conferences, and industry events that bring together stakeholders across the food system.

Veggie Challenge
The ProVeg Veggie Challenge comes with numerous Indian recipes, a community of support, and plenty of tips to make your journey to a healthier, meat-free lifestyle as smooth as possible. And best of all, it’s all free.
But wait, you might be thinking: how can I eat a varied diet without meat? Isn’t plant-based cooking super complicated? And what about nutritional deficiencies? Well, we have answers to all your burning questions and are here to help you every step of the way.
More than 500,000 from around the world have taken part in the Veggie Challenge. Now India has her own Veggie Challenge! So join us for a rewarding 30-day challenge where you’ll get to swap recipes, learn new skills, and smile your way to a healthier you.
Coming soon, we will also have ProVeg Veggie Challenge Teams, a fun and gamified way for organisations and companies to increase awareness about the environmental impact of our daily food choices.
