ProVeg welcomes Swiss emphasis on plant-based diets

Swiss Nutrition Strategy for 2025-2032 highlights importance of plant-rich food

Soizic Larcher, EU Policy Officer at ProVeg International, said: “We welcome the progressive approach taken by the Swiss Government to ensure that plant-rich diets are prioritised in its nutrition strategy.

“There is a growing trend to integrate sustainability/environmental considerations in national dietary recommendations, and Switzerland is one of several countries leading by example.

“We believe that more countries will follow suit as the evidence continues to build showing the health advantages of a plant-based diet as well as the environmental benefits.”
