Sesame Pudding

This Sesame Pudding is a creamy, plant-based dessert made with rich black sesame tahini and silky soy milk. Lightly sweetened with rice malt syrup and thickened with agar, it offers a smooth texture and nutty flavor. Perfect for a wholesome, indulgent treat that’s both satisfying and nourishing!

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 400 ml
    soymilk not added sugar
  • 60 ml
    rice malt syrup
  • ½ tsp
    agar powder
  • 1 pinch
    sea salt
  • 2 tbsp
    black sesame tahini
  • 2 tsp
    kudzu powder dissolved with 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Place soymilk, sweeteners, agar powder and salt in a pot and bring to a boil over a medium flame over a gas stove, stirring frequently.
  2. Add the dissolved kudzu little by little while stirring to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture back to a simmer and cook until it thickens a little. Turn off the flame.
  3. Place the sesame paste in a bowl, add a little of the hot soymilk mixture and whisk to combine well. Return mixture to the pot and cook on low flame while stirring for 3 minutes.
  4. Transfer to individual cups, set aside to cool and refrigerate a little before serving.
