Welcome to our 2024 Impact Report
We are delighted to share the highlights of another transformative year for ProVeg International. In 2024, we expanded our global reach with the launch of offices in Brazil and Portugal, strengthening our presence to 14 countries across five continents. These new additions are pivotal as we drive food-system transformation in regions with unique challenges and opportunities, from the Amazon to the European Union.
This year also saw ProVeg engaging on the world stage at key events, including COP29 in Azerbaijan, where we continued to champion plant-based solutions as critical tools for tackling the climate crisis. Our work with global partners, policymakers, and grassroots organisations has reinforced our efforts in building a more sustainable and equitable food future.
From fostering innovation through our ProVeg Incubator and Food Innovation Challenge to supporting changemakers via our Grants and Kickstarting for Good programmes, 2024 has been a year of bold action and meaningful progress.
As we look ahead to 2025, your support remains integral to our mission. Together, we can continue to reduce reliance on animal-based products, inspire millions to embrace plant-based diets, and transform the global food system for the better.

Message from Faisal Mansor,
Country Director of Proveg Malaysia

As we reflect on 2024, it brings me great pride to see the remarkable progress we have made in Malaysia towards promoting sustainable food systems focused on protein diversification and uplifting plant-based diets in the country.
One of our key achievements this year has been the completion of the Veggie Challenge for the Malaysian audience. Introducing over 70 popular Malaysian recipes from local social media influencers and plant-based chefs to be launched in a collaborative Veganuary campaign for 2025. This platform would be integral for future outreach to corporations and institutions as we have secured some interest from a few organisations to be implemented in their organisations.
Additionally, we commenced operations for vegan & vegetarian product licensing with V-Label, a significant step towards ensuring that consumers have access to credible and trustworthy plant-based products. As we onboard more brands and hopefully gain interest among sustainable-forward retailers, we believe that the presence of a global trademark can promote transparency and build consumer confidence in the growing plant-based market in Malaysia.
Proveg Malaysia has been busy gaining momentum among trade events, sustainable food forums and educational institutions. We successfully helped to design and co-organize a half-day conference dedicated to discussing future foods for the Malaysian International Food & Beverage strategic conference, one of the largest events in the industry, hosted at the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Proveg was also part of the keynote address, delivered by Shirley Lu, Director of Proveg Asia and hosted several Malaysian startups in seafood alternative, fast food burger restaurant chain, and cultivated meat as well as academicians and social media plant-based influencer and qualified chef, Chef Dave (Vegan Journey).
We also co-organized a youth program with AIESEC, a youth-led leadership organisation for college & university students passionate about sustainability goals, called Eat4Change; which included various outreach activities with schools, a bioscience exhibition and conference event and organising a plant-based cooking competition with over 100 vocational culinary students, mentored by our board member, Chef Dave. Proveg was also invited as a speaker or involved in various programs with five different public & private universities across the country, engaging with at least 750 youths.
As we look ahead to the coming year, we remain committed to driving change and expanding our influence. We will continue to build on our successes, leveraging the power of collaboration and innovation to create a lasting impact. Our focus will be on scaling our initiatives and strengthening partnerships to embrace a more sustainable & secure food system and a healthier nation.
My heartfelt gratitude to all our supporters, partners, board members and team members. Your dedication and passion are the driving forces behind our success. Together, we are creating a better future for our planet.
Sincerely,
Faisal Mansor,
Country Director of Proveg Malaysia
