Ingredients

  • 100 g
    firmed tofu diced
  • 50 g
    tempeh

Marinade

  • 2 tsp
    shoyu
  • 1 tsp
    mirin
  • 0.25 tsp
    liquid smoke
  • 0.13 tsp
    mixed herbs
  • 0.13 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp
    pickled ginger
  • pinch
    sea salt

Balsamic Reduction Sauce

  • 0.25 cup
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1.5 tsp
    agave nectar

Instructions

Smoked Tofu & Tempeh

  1. Marinate tofu and tempeh in a mixture of shoyu and all other ingredients for 1 hour.

  2. Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Place tofu and tempeh in the pan and brown on either side.
  3. Plate. Serve with balsamic reduction sauce.

Balsamic Reduction Sauce

  1. Boil vinegar in a small saucepan until the volume reduces to about half. Set aside to cool.
  2. Mix in agave nectar.
