Rinse the beans thoroughly and soak them overnight in water

Drain the water the next day

Add the soaked beans with enough water to cover them in a large pot.

Boil the beans until they are soft and easily mashed.

Heat the palm oil in a separate pan while the beans are boiling.

Add the chopped onions, garlic, and bell pepper.

Sauté until they are soft and fragrant.

Add the chopped tomatoes to the pan and simmer until they turn tender and release their juices.

Season the sautéed vegetables with cayenne pepper and paprika.

Stir well to combine the flavors.

Drain any excess water once the beans are well-cooked.

Add the sautéed vegetable mixture to the pot of beans.
