Pan-Fried Tofu with Curry Leaves

Ingredients

  • 200 g
    momen tofu firm
  • 1 sprig
    curry leaves
  • ½ tbsp
    soy sauce naturally aged
  • 2 tbsp
    water
  • 1 tsp
    garlic minced
  • 1 tsp
    ginger chopped
  • crushed black pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ tsp
    coconut cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Drain liquid of tofu by wrapping in a cotton cloth and press out the excess liquid. Cut into 10mm slices, dust with cornstarch with a sieve.
  2. Warm a pan, add oil, warm the oil, put in the whole sprig of curry leaves, place the tofu on top of the curry leaves, pan fry on both sides until slightly golden in colour.
  3. Mix the seasoning and pour over the tofu, cook on both sides to let flavour seep into the tofu. Cook until the sauce is thick. Serve hot.
