Sambal Petai

Ingredients

  • 3 pcs
    medium tomatoes diced
  • 1 pc
    dried shiitake mushroom
  • 1 cup
    brinjal (eggplant)
  • ½ tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tbs
    shoyu
  • 1 g
    bamboo salt
  • ¼ tsp
    chinese five spice powder
  • 1 cup
    petai

Instructions

  1. Blend tomatoes with dried mushroom, bring to a boil for 5 minutes, to thicken to half the volume.

  2. Add in the remaining ingredients except the petai, simmer for 20 minutes.

  3. Lastly, add in the petai and continue to cook for another 5 minutes. Serve hot.
