Vegan Crème Fraîche

Crème fraîche can be used in both sweet and savoury dishes. Its cashew-based and made easily out of just a few ingredients. Whether it's cake, soup, or potato gratin: refine your favourite dish with this vegan crème fraîche!

½ cupcashews

½ cupwater cold

1 tbsplemon juice

1 tbspwhite wine vinegar

½ tspsalt
Instructions

Soak the cashews in water for at least 2 hours. Mix all the ingredients in a mixer or food processor until you reached the desired texture. Let soak in the fridge for half an hour.

The vegan crème fraîche lasts for approximately one week if kept cool and in a sealed jar.
Notes
If served with herbs and/or onions, this crème fraîche is ideally suited as a spread on bread or with potatoes.
