This session explores the term ‘net zero’ along with other vocabulary associated with the climate emergency and carbon reduction.
The pupils will learn about ‘offsetting’ and what this means in practice. Plus, there will be a brief mention of ‘greenwashing’ and how we must be careful when companies and organisations claim to be planet-friendly.
The closing activity gives pupils the opportunity to discuss and explore the approaches needed to reach net zero.
