Small changes, big impact: how ingredient decisions affect the sustainability impact of your products

Although plant-based options are generally better for the planet than animal-based products, individual ingredients and their agricultural practices and growing locations are critical in determining environmental impact.

This webinar, hosted by ProVeg International in partnership with HowGood, will shine a light on some common (and not so common) ingredients, and how to tweak formulations or growing locations in order to reduce carbon emissions or water usage. These changes can have a dramatic impact on emissions and provide improved supply-chain stability.

The webinar will cover:

  • Why you should be prioritising sustainability with your plant-based product, and the importance of sustainability to consumers.
  • The environmental impact of the different stages of food-and-ingredient production.
  • How switching ingredients can improve your carbon footprint.
  • The importance and impact of growing location.

You’ll come away with a better understanding of how to improve your product’s environmental impact and get closer to reaching your net-zero targets.
