Watch 13 disruptive startups pitch to investors at the ProVeg Incubator Demo Day

Founders from around the world, including Mexico, Nigeria and Ukraine, will pitch their startups as the ninth edition of the Incubator program comes to a close.

Thirteen impact-driven startups with innovative animal-free food and ingredient solutions will pitch their startups to a panel of judges, as well as investors, corporates and fellow startups, later this week as the ninth edition of the ProVeg Incubator comes to a close.

Based in Berlin, the renowned ProVeg Incubator is the world’s first alt-protein accelerator, exclusively supporting companies that are transforming the global food system. This latest cohort was announced back in October, with the Demo Day marking the culmination of a 12-week program of learning, networking, and funding.

The Demo Day, which will take place online, is being made public for the first time. It will take place on Thursday, 15 December, from 4pm to 6.30pm CET. If you’d like to attend, please register online at: https://lnkd.in/etSu8xez.

The following 13 startups will be pitching at the Demo Day:

  • GreenGo (Ukraine) has a mission to make plant-based products diverse, tasty, and accessible to more consumers. The startup’s product line includes plant-based versions of steaks, burger cutlets, and cheeses, among others.
  • Sunday Supper (USA) develops plant-based and premium ready-to-eat meals based on famous Italian recipes. Sunday Supper launched their signature dish, a delicious plant-based, chef-made Italian lasagna, in March 2021.
  • Plant Revolt (Hungary) is working towards creating a more sustainable future by producing fiber-, protein-rich and clean-label meat alternatives.
  • Casa Vegan (Nigeria) aims to be the go-to African brand for plant-based alternatives. Their products are made with local and upcycled ingredients. Their current portfolio consists of plant-based mince, chunks, and burgers.
  • Seaspire (India and New Zealand) aims to be a facilitator in the consumer transition to seafood alternatives through the use of cutting-edge and accessible technology.

  • Vitality Foods (Singapore) develops plant-based food solutions for the growing older communities in Asia-Pacific. The startup’s products focus on health attributes with no compromise on flavor, texture, or taste.
  • Raw Bake Station (UK) creates delicious and healthy plant-based snacks. The company’s product line is free of gluten, dairy, and refined sugar, and is tackling the obesity crisis and climate crisis by making healthy snacks more accessible to everyday consumers.
  • BioGNR (Lithuania) has a mission to enable food-industry manufacturers to produce healthier and sustainable products from alternative proteins. To that end, the startup specializes in using fermentation-based technology to produce mycoprotein.
  • Jooules (New Zealand) aims to harness the power of microbes and fermentation to produce food without crossing planetary boundaries.
  • Leaf Foods (Mexico) is created by vegans whose mission is to offer the best alternatives to plant-based dairy products. The startup focuses on taste, nutrition, and a conscious environmental design.
  • Quelp (Chile) is a biotech company developing sustainable products based on seaweed. Quelp’s solutions include meat and dairy alternatives, biomaterials, and machine-learning systems to develop products based on algae.
  • Ser Vegano (Mexico) develops a new generation of plant-based products using mushrooms, algae, and little-known plants and vegetables as ingredients.
