ProVeg International has joined a group of civil society organisations in writing an open letter to the European Commission’s Consumers, Health, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (CHAFEA), supporting the agency’s review of the EU promotion programme for agricultural products. The review is being conducted ” with a view to enhancing (the EU’s) contribution to sustainable production and consumption,” and bring that contribution in line with the evolving diets of EU citizens.
ProVeg International Vice-President, Jasmijn de Boo, signed the letter along with representatives of Humane Society International, Eurogroup for Animals, Compassion in World Farming, and EVA.
