Vegan fish fingers are quick and easy to prepare at home. This finger food is made with breaded tofu. Thanks to nori algae, soy sauce, and lemon juice, the vegan fish fingers have an exquisite flavor.

Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 400 g
    tofu non-flavored
  • 1 sheet
nori optionally slightly more, to taste
  • 5 tbsp
    soy sauce dark
  • 3 tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 250 ml
    water hot
  • 100 ml
    soy milk
  • 100 g
    breadcrumbs
  • 50 g
    wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp
    nutritional yeast flakes
  • 3 tbsp
    margarine plant-based
  • a pinch
    pepper
  • a pinch
    salt

Instructions

  1. Cut the tofu into sticks. Then cut the nori sheet into thin strips. Mix in a bowl with soy sauce, lemon juice, and the water. Add the tofu sticks and leave to marinate for 2 hours, turning them over from time to time.
  2. Prepare three small bowls. Add soy milk to the first. In the second, mix the flour, yeast flakes, salt, and pepper. Put the breadcrumbs in the third bowl.
  3. Place each tofu stick in the flour mixture first, then dip them in the soy milk, then cover in breadcrumbs. Do this twice for each stick of tofu.
  4. Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the vegan fish fingers until they are golden brown.
