Kapsalon shawarma
Kapsalon is a Dutch fast-food dish, consisting of french fries topped with shawarma slices and cheese, and heated in the oven until the cheese melts. It is then topped with iceberg lettuce and garlic sauce.
In this recipe, we use plant-based shawarma and plant-based cheese.
The term kapsalon is Dutch for ‘hairdressing salon’, alluding to one of the inventors of the dish, who worked as a hairdresser.
