Pasta with walnut pesto

This recipe for vegan walnut pesto is perfectly suited for the quick kitchen. Walnuts are a great source for omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin E. A delicious pesto with a nutty note which perfectly fits both with pasta or as a yummy spread on bread.

  • 250 g
    tagliatelle or other pasta
  • 60 g
    walnuts chopped
  • 2
    garlic gloves
  • lemon juice to taste
  • 6 tbsp
    olive oil
  • 50 g
  • ground nutmeg to taste
  • salt to taste


  1. Cook the pasta in plenty of salted water until al dente, let drain and stir in a little oil.
  2. Puree two thirds of the walnuts, lemon juice, garlic, oil and herbs in the mixer. Season to taste with nutmeg and salt.
  3. Serve the pasta with the sauce and the remaining walnuts.
