Vegan Crème Fraîche

Crème fraîche can be used in both sweet and savory dishes. Based on cashews, you can easily make vegan crème fraîche out of just a few ingredients. Whether it’s cake, soup or potato gratin: refine your favorite dish with this vegan crème fraîche!


Servings: 4
  • 130 g
  • 125 ml
    water cold
  • 1 tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp
    white wine vinegar
  • 0,5 tsp


  1. Soak the cashews in water for at least 2 hours. Mix all the ingredients in a mixer or food processor until you reached the desired texture. Let soak in the fridge for half an hour.
  2. The vegan crème fraîche lasts for approximately one week if kept cool and in a sealed jar.


If served with herbs and/or onions, the crème fraîche is ideally suited as a spread on bread or with potatos.
