Two people are smiling and talking at an indoor event. The woman, wearing a black blazer and name tag, holds a notebook, while the man in a white shirt faces her. Other people are blurred in the background.

Our programs are designed to support mission-driven startups that are working on plant-based, fermentation-derived, and cultivated-food products, as well as ingredients, technologies, processes, and platforms. Startups must have the potential to diversify protein sources in the global food system, either by providing alternatives or with supporting technology.

We’re particularly interested in startups that are developing egg, seafood, and chicken alternatives, as well as other meat and dairy alternatives, along with ingredients and technologies that can be substituted for animal-derived staple products on a mass scale.
Focus areas include functional ingredients, precision fermentation and biomass fermentation, cell-cultivation, and molecular farming, along with enabling tech, processes, and platforms.

We’re based in Berlin, but we work with startups, mentors, partners and organizations from across the globe.

When we kicked off in 2018, The ProVeg Incubator was the world’s first incubator for plant-based and alt-protein startups, and we continue to lead the charge.
