Pancakes

A stack of homemade pancakes is placed on a kitchen worktop, with various kitchen items and food visible in the blurred background.

Since I can remember, I have always loved pancakes, topped with some apple sauce, cinnamon and a little bit of sugar on the top. The recipe below is very versatile and can be enjoyed both savory and sweet, depending on the toppings you choose.

Ingredients

  • 320 g
    flour
  • 1/2 liter
    plant-based milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon
    of baking powder
  • 1 pack
    vanilla sugar
  • margarine or neutral oil for the pan
  • Toppings Your imagination is the limit! peanut butter, cinnamon, apple sauce, fruits, or on the more savory side tomatoes, hummus, cucumber.

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together until, after a couple of minutes, a smooth batter forms. If needed, add a little more flour or liquid to reach your desired consistency.
  2. Heat a neutral oil or margarine in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add a large spoonful of batter to the pan and spread it out evenly.
  3. Cook for about 2 minutes, or until the batter begins to set. Flip the pancake and cook until both sides are golden brown.
  4. Add your toppings and enjoy!
