7 best vegan-friendly restaurants to visit in Paris in 2025

Paris – known for dishes such as steak tartare and escargot – is embracing plant-based food, and is now a great destination for vegan travellers. While finding good options in touristy areas can still be tricky, a wide array of independent, fully plant-based eateries can be found across the city. Whether you’re after a sweet treat from an artisanal patisserie, a relaxed afternoon in a cosy café, or an extravagant fine-dining experience, Paris has something to satisfy everyone. Our Content Creator and Writer, Emily, explored the city and handpicked her seven favourite vegan spots.

Le Potager de Charlotte: French classics with a modern twist

Le Potager de Charlotte’s elegant, modern plant-based cuisine has made it unmissable. Founded by two brothers with a passion for ethical and sustainable dining, this fully vegan restaurant has two outlets: one near Montmartre and another in the 17th arrondissement. The atmosphere of both is stylish yet welcoming, and the seasonal menu is fresh and innovative. Dishes such as the avocado “hard-boiled egg” with turmeric hummus, the chickpea and rice pancakes with cashew cream, and the white asparagus mash with rooibos-tamari sauce are flavourful, beautifully presented, and made without added sugar or oil. French decadence makes an appearance on the dessert menu, where a plant-based crème brûlée and chocolate mousse with raspberries and caramelised pecans provide a perfect finale. Le Potager de Charlotte’s sister restaurant, Le Potager du Marais in the Marais district, is also worth a visit for those keen to explore plant-based cuisine with a French twist. Think French onion soup, Bourguignon made with seitan and mushrooms, and apple tarte tatin.

Land&Monkeys: Baked to perfection

With seven outlets across Paris, Land&Monkeys celebrates the fine art of French baking, minus the traditional animal products. Driven by a commitment to ethical sourcing and artisanal techniques, they offer a selection of classic viennoiseries, including flaky croissants, decadent pain au chocolat, cinnamon rolls, babkas, and kouglofs. Their sweet offerings extend to scrumptious cookies filled with praline or pistachio, tartlets, and creamy mousses, complemented by a range of savoury quiches, sandwiches, and organic breads. Whether you’re after a sticky morning pastry paired with an oat latte, picnic sandwiches, or a box of their signature macarons, Land&Monkeys is an essential destination for any vegan or vegan-curious visitor to Paris.

A fast-casual vegan spot born from a bold idea during the Covid-19 pandemic, Green Farmer’s has quickly grown into a Paris favourite. Created by friends Olivier Sarfati and Dan Benhaim, the concept started as a dark kitchen and evolved into a brick-and-mortar success, thanks to its crowd-pleasing comfort food and eco-conscious ethos.
