Launching Cohort 13: The ProVeg Incubator continues to shape the future of food
The ProVeg Incubator recently kicked off its 13th cohort, supporting ten pioneering startups from various countries, including Poland, Brazil, Singapore, and Indonesia. These startups are developing cutting-edge solutions – from plant-based seafood and novel fats to precision-fermented dairy and AI-powered protein production.
Standout ventures in the latest cohort include Upcircld Kitchen, which is developing Brew Bites – meat alternatives made from upcycled sidestreams from the food industry for the food service market. Another promising startup is Profillet, which harnesses marine-derived ingredients alongside cutting-edge food science and fermentation technology to create seafood alternatives that replicate the taste, texture, nutritional profile, and affordability of conventional fish. Each startup will benefit from up to $300,000 in funding and services, alongside mentorship from over 100 industry experts, to accelerate their market readiness.
“The innovative products that these startups are bringing to the table will help to shift the world’s food systems in the direction of more climate-friendly and sustainable foods. In this way, the ProVeg Incubator is playing a key role in generating new food technologies that are healthy for both people and the planet,” said Antje Räuscher, Head of the ProVeg Incubator.
With your generous support, we are continuing to grow the next generation of food-tech changemakers.
