  • 200 g
    tempeh cubed
  • 2 tbsp
    tahini
  • 1 tbsp
    soy sauce use tamari for gluten-free version
  • 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    smoked paprika powder
  • 1 tsp
    maple syrup
  • 2-3 tbsp
    mayonnaise plant based version
  • 1 dash of
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 pinch of
    cayenne pepper
  • 1
    spring onion finely chopped
  • 1
    carrot grated

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil and steam the tempeh cubes in a steamer basket or steaming pot for about 10 minutes.

  2. Grate the steamed tempeh into a bowl. Add tahini, soy sauce or tamari, garlic powder, smoked paprika powder, maple syrup, mayonnaise, a dash of apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, spring onion, and grated carrot. Mix everything well. Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
