Sticky crispy tempeh
Tempeh is a delicious and super healthy meat substitute from Indonesia, made from fermented soybeans. The taste can take some getting used to if you have never eaten it before, but it soaks up flavors from a marinade. The marinade in this dish gives the tempeh a wonderful flavor that is hard to resist! You can serve this tempeh with your favorite rice or noodle dish.

250 gtempeh in thin slices 0.5cm thick

2 tbspoil

1 1/2 tbspketjap manis or sweet soy sauce

1 tbspsoy sauce

1 tspsambal oelek
Instructions

Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the tempeh until golden brown, then turn it over and fry the other side. Mix the ketjap with the soy sauce and sambal and add to the tempeh. Fry the tempeh for another 1-2 minutes until crispy and sticky, but watch carefully that the sugar in the ketjap does not burn (or it will turn bitter).

Serve the tempeh, for example, with some rice and stir-fried vegetables or a fried rice dish.
